    Vanaf zondag 13 oktober tot en met zondag 24 november stellen fotografen Stijn Huyghe en Paul Vercammen werk tentoon in De Loods.

    Paul Vercammen (°1951) volgde een 4-jarige fotografie-opleiding in SLAC te Leuven. Is lid van fotogroep REVAF Lier sinds 2004. Os ook lid van een collectief bestaande uit 4 fotografen welke jaarlijks tentoonstellen in de omgeving van Lier. Zijn werken zijn best te omschrijven als eerder eenvoudig, soms minimalistisch. Werkt veel in zwart-wit omdat hij het met deze methode eenvoudiger vindt om een onderwerp te benadrukken en de juiste sfeer te creëren.

    Stijn Huyghe (°1980 - duister.org ), studeerde samen met studiegenoot Paul Vercammen af aan het SLAC te Leuven. Werkte een tijdje als freelancer en behaalde in 2008 zijn 'Qualified European Photographer' (QEP) lbel in de categorie 'Illustrative'. Nu doet hij enkel nog zijn eigen ding, waarbij meestal omgevingen en mensen zijn lens kruisen.

    De tentoonstelling is gedurende de hele periode te bezichtingen tijdens de openingsuren van de Knoet en wordt ingeleid met een vernissage op zondag 13 oktober tussen 14 en 17 uur. Toegang tot tentoonstelling en vernissage is gratis.

    Het indrukwekkende kunstboek Hoofdzaak vraagt aandacht voor chronische clusterhoofdpijnpatiënten. Clusterhoofdpijn is zeldzaam en uiterst pijnlijk. Behandeling is mogelijk na de inplanting van een neurostimulator. Maar deze operatie is erg duur en wordt niet terugbetaald door het ziekenfonds.

    Jelle Devijver lijdt aan chronische clusterhoofdpijn. Hij kreeg op 10 mei 2010 een eerste aanval en is sindsdien werkonbekwaam. Op 19 juli 2011, zijn 27ste verjaardag, kreeg Jelle na een medische calvarietocht met verschillende ziekenhuisopnames een neurostimulator ingeplant. Ongeacht de resultaten van de stimulator zal hij zijn leven lang chronische clusterhoofdpijnpatiënt blijven. Vrienden en familie hebben daarom het initiatief genomen om met benefietacties de financiële last te verlichten. Het uitbrengen van Hoofdzaak, een boek waarin rond dit thema werk van dichters en vooral fotografen werd verzameld,  is een van die projecten.

    Tientallen fotografen en dichters werkten belangeloos mee aan dit unieke project, dat de pijn, maar ook de zorg en de hoop die het leven van chronische hoofdpijnpatiënten tekent, illustreert en evoceert in een lijvig boek. Zowel jong en aanstormend talent, als artiesten met klinkende namen zoals Carl De Keyzer, Dirk Braeckman, Lieve Blancquaert, Filip Claus, Filip Naudts, Jimmy Kets, Lieven Nollet en Kamagurka.
